Who are we

Tierra PR founder and managing director, Samantha Combes, was formerly Public Relations and Marketing Manager (for UK and Ireland) for Viña La Rosa, Chile. Samantha has spent more than ten years working in the wine trade, six years of which have been in Chile.

Her career started in 1995, as Assistant Organizer of the International Wine Challenge, UK, one of the world’s largest blind wine tastings. This was followed by a move to Santiago, Chile, where she worked for one of Chile’s largest wineries, Viña Santa Carolina. It was here that Samantha held the position of Export Assistant for Europe, and was then later made Export Director for USA and Canada.

After four years at Viña Santa Carolina, Samantha moved to work for Viña La Rosa, one of Chile’s oldest wineries, and also one of Chile's top exporters to the UK. Her first role was that of UK Sales and Marketing Manager, and then after a decision to move back to London from Chile, she continued to work for Viña La Rosa, in the role of PR and Marketing Manager for the UK and Ireland.

In the various roles that Samantha has held since the beginning of her wine career, she has gained great experience in sales, marketing and public relations. Not only does Samantha have an excellent understanding of the UK wine market, her particular area of expertise is Chile, with a good knowledge of its wines, wine industry, culture, people, country and language. Samantha knows the day to day challenges faced by the suppliers, and also the demands of UK retailers and distributors.
